Dates on this page: “our data” means our own JVZoo sales record and GetResponse email stats, read on Oct. 25, 2026. JVZoo’s and ClickBank’s rules were checked on their own pages on Oct. 30, 2026.
pprawat.com earns money from affiliate links in some of its guides and emails. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
The JVZoo affiliate program lets you promote other people’s digital products and earn a commission when someone buys through your link. Sellers (JVZoo calls them vendors) list products and set the terms; approved affiliates promote them (JVZoo, affiliate agreement). Joining as an affiliate is free, with no monthly fee, though JVZoo lists a one-time $5 KYC verification to unlock payouts (JVZoo for affiliates).
This JVZoo review looks at the platform from the affiliate side: what it costs, how approval and payouts work, the pros and cons, and who it suits.
What we bring is limited, and we’d rather say so: one JVZoo affiliate account with 1 sale ever, worth $9.71 on Sep. 26, 2026, and no sales or refunds from Oct. 13 to Oct. 25, 2026 (our JVZoo sales report, read Oct. 25, 2026). That isn’t enough to judge JVZoo on results, so this review doesn’t try. Instead, it lays out JVZoo’s own rules side by side with ClickBank’s, each linked to the official page as of Oct. 30, 2026, plus the checks we wish we’d made first.

What is the JVZoo affiliate program?
There isn’t one JVZoo program with one set of rules. Each vendor runs their own affiliate program inside JVZoo. The vendor sets the commission rate for each product and can change it at any time (JVZoo FAQ, affiliate agreement). The vendor also decides who gets approved and whether you’re paid instantly or on a delay.
Explodely is a similar marketplace. It says it is “100% free for affiliates” (Explodely), and its marketplace shows each product’s price, commission, seller and refund rate (Explodely help). Most of the advice below applies there too.
How to sign up for JVZoo as an affiliate
- Register at JVZoo with your name, email and a password. You must be 18 or older (affiliate agreement, JVZoo support). A customer account you used to buy something doesn’t create an affiliate account.
- Fill in your profile honestly. Vendors may look at it when you ask to promote their product.
- Add a payment profile under My Account, then Payment Profiles, then Affiliate. JVZooPay pays out through Payoneer, Trolley (bank or PayPal), Wise or Tipalti, with a $50 minimum withdrawal and an identity (KYC) check (What is JVZooPay?, Tipalti setup).
- Submit your tax form. US persons, including US citizens living abroad, file a W-9. Foreign individuals file a W-8BEN, and foreign companies a W-8BEN-E (IRS: About Form W-8BEN). Your tax status decides the form, not where you live. Payment isn’t released until it’s done (JVZoo support).
- Use a strong, unique password for the account.
How product approval works
You can’t promote most products the moment you join. The path is Affiliate, then Find Products, then Request Approval, where you add a message to the seller. The seller approves or denies you, and vendors can auto-approve affiliates they choose (getting started guide, auto approve). Approval for a front-end product covers that product’s whole funnel (JVZoo support).
New JVZooPay accounts start on probation (JVZoo support), and vendors can pick delayed commissions for affiliates they don’t know yet. If you’re declined, don’t take it personally. Vendors protect themselves from refunds and spam.
A short, honest request note helps:
Hi, I run [your site], a small site about [your topic] for beginners. I’d promote [product] to my own opt-in email list with a plain review-style email and a clear affiliate disclosure. No spam and no paid traffic sent straight to your page. Happy to answer any questions.
Never inflate your list size or sales history. If you’re declined, move on to another product and keep building your list.
How JVZoo affiliate links and commissions work
Once approved, your links are under Affiliates, then Approved Products, then Get Links (JVZoo support). When someone buys through your link, the sale is credited to you.
What to understand before you promote:
- Commission rate. Set by the vendor for each product, and it can change.
- Instant or delayed. An instant commission is credited when the customer completes the order. Credited isn’t the same as withdrawable: with JVZooPay, when you can take the money out follows the schedule for your account level below. Under the affiliate agreement, a seller who doesn’t use JVZooPay pays delayed commissions within 70 days of the order; with JVZooPay, the schedule by account level below applies. The seller picks which when approving you (affiliate agreement, affiliate requests).
- Payout schedule. With JVZooPay, funds reach your available balance within 30 days, and how often you can withdraw depends on your account level, from every 21 days at Bronze to every 3 days at Diamond. JVZoo’s levels page lists, for Bronze, a “Rolling Reserve of 25% of what you have earned in your JVZooPay account over the last 6 months”, and the same wording with 20% for Silver. Bronze covers “all accounts under 6 months old or accounts that have never received a JVZooPay distribution”. It also says: “All NEW accounts will be placed on probation. They must meet all JVZooPay requirements AND then, Contact JVZoo Support to have their first payout released” (affiliate levels). The affiliate agreement also says JVZoo may add a rolling reserve to any JVZooPay account with limited JVZoo history (affiliate agreement).
- Refunds. If a buyer is refunded, your commission is reversed from JVZooPay (JVZoo support).
- Tracking IDs. Add
?tid=yourcodeto your link, for example.../c/3522/3665/?tid=email05(use&tid=instead if the link already has a?). JVZoo allows up to 24 characters, lowercase letters and numbers only, and shows results on your Affiliate Transactions page (JVZoo support).
Use tracking IDs from day one. We didn’t, and we still can’t tell which email, if any, made our one sale (our data, Oct. 25, 2026). Name each ID after the email or page it sits in, so your report tells you what worked.
JVZoo pros and cons for affiliates
Pros
- Free to join, with no monthly fee for affiliates (a one-time $5 KYC verification unlocks payouts).
- Find Products shows Refund %, Conversion % and EPC before you request approval, so you can screen offers.
- Tracking IDs are built in, with results on the Affiliate Transactions page.
- Several payout options through JVZooPay, including PayPal (through Tipalti or Trolley).
Cons
- Most products need vendor approval, and a vendor can turn you down without a reason.
- New JVZooPay accounts start on probation, and lower levels pay out less often (Bronze: payments every 21 days and a 25% rolling reserve) (affiliate levels).
- Delayed commissions from sellers not using JVZooPay can take up to 70 days.
- Refunds reverse your commission, so a high-refund product can cost you sales you thought you’d made.
- Some sales pages lean on income claims, so you need to screen each offer yourself.
JVZoo review: our verdict
Our own results are too small to rate JVZoo on earnings. Going by its published rules, it’s a reasonable place to look for digital products to promote if you already have an email list, even a small one, as long as you check Refund % first, add tracking IDs from day one and expect slower payouts at the start. If you don’t have a list yet, build that first.
JVZoo vs ClickBank for affiliates
ClickBank is the marketplace most beginners compare JVZoo with. Here’s how they differ on the points that matter to an affiliate, from each company’s own pages as of Oct. 30, 2026.
| JVZoo | ClickBank | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost to join | Free; one-time $5 KYC verification to unlock payouts; transaction fees are charged to vendors (JVZoo FAQ) | Free; a $5 processing charge on each payment, and dormant-account fees after 90 days with no earnings (accounting policy) |
| Approval per product | Usually yes: Request Approval, vendor decides | Most products give you a HopLink right away; some sellers require approval (HopLinks guide) |
| Who sets the commission | Vendor, per product | Seller, per product, as a percentage or flat rate (ClickBank) |
| Payout timing | Instant, or delayed (up to 70 days outside JVZooPay); JVZooPay schedule by level | Weekly or every 2 weeks; first payout needs at least 5 sales from unique customers, each more than 14 days old, using more than one payment method, plus your payment threshold (accounting policy) |
| Payout methods | Payoneer, Trolley, Wise, Tipalti | Direct deposit, wire, check |
| Minimum payout | $50 withdrawal | Threshold you set, from $50 (default $100) (accounting policy) |
| Refunds | Commission reversed | Commission debited back; customers can ask within 60 days (return policy) |
| Tracking ID | ?tid=, up to 24 lowercase letters and numbers |
tid=, up to 100 numbers, lowercase letters and underscores (HopLinks guide) |
| Product stats | Sold, Conversion %, EPC, Avg Price, Commission, Refund % | Gravity, Avg $/Conversion, conversion rate, EPC (marketplace stats) |
Which to start with? If you want to promote today without asking anyone, ClickBank is easier, since most products give you a link straight away. If your list is about online business and you’re happy to ask for approval, JVZoo’s Refund % filter makes screening offers simple. Many affiliates use both. Digistore24 is another digital-product marketplace worth comparing; read its own affiliate terms before you join (Digistore24 for affiliates).
What JVZoo users say
On Trustpilot, JVZoo had a TrustScore of 4.5 out of 5 from 700 reviews when we checked on Oct. 30, 2026, with most reviews five-star and a smaller group of one-star reviews. Trustpilot’s summary says reviewers praise refund handling and fast replies, while some mention slow or hard-to-reach support. The page also says JVZoo replied to 100% of negative reviews (Trustpilot). Many of those reviews come from buyers, not affiliates, so weigh them with that in mind.
How to choose a JVZoo product to promote
Commission size is the last thing to check, not the first.
Check the numbers in Find Products
JVZoo’s Find Products page lets you filter by Sold, Conversion %, EPC, Average Price, Commission and Refund % (JVZoo support). A high refund rate means unhappy buyers and commissions you lose again. Look at it before the commission.
Read the sales page like a buyer
- Can I say in one sentence what the product teaches or does?
- Does the page lean on income screenshots instead of explaining the method?
- Are the refund terms written down clearly?
- How many upsells come after the first purchase?
- Is there a real support contact?
- Can a beginner use it without buying paid traffic or extra tools?
If you’d feel uneasy sending a friend to that page, don’t send your list there.
Make sure it fits your list
The best product matches the free gift people signed up for. If your gift is a checklist for building an email list, a product on list building fits. A random crypto or “done for you” income product doesn’t. Promote one product at a time.
Look inside first
Ask the vendor for review access, or buy it yourself if you can afford to. You can only tell your readers what’s inside if you’ve seen it.
How to promote JVZoo products by email, not spam
- Build your list first. Our email list guide covers the gift, opt-in page, autoresponder and welcome emails.
- Send value before offers. A few helpful emails before your first offer, then mostly helpful emails between offers.
- Write one clear offer email. Name the problem, say what the product teaches, who it fits, who should skip it, and the refund terms as written. Use one link.
- Disclose every time. Put a plain line next to the link, such as “Heads up: that’s my affiliate link, so I may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.” The FTC’s endorsement guides FAQ explains the disclosure rules and why endorsers can be responsible for claims they make.
- Don’t repeat big claims. If the sales page shows huge income numbers, don’t copy them into your email. Talk about the method.
- Keep subject lines honest. The FTC’s CAN-SPAM compliance guide bans deceptive subject lines and requires a working opt-out.
- Follow up with care. One or two follow-ups at most, only to people who clicked, and only with new useful facts. A click is not a cart, so never call it one.
- Don’t drop links where nobody asked. Pasting affiliate links in groups, comments or private messages is spam and can get your accounts banned under those platforms’ rules.
- Don’t over-send. We sent 2 emails a day to our whole list, and our clicks were about 0.26% of delivered emails over 21 sends (our data, Oct. 25, 2026). One or two emails a week is a safer start.
Common beginner mistakes
- Promoting before you have a list. Without one, every promotion is a one-shot try.
- Choosing by commission rate alone. Check Refund % first.
- Copying income claims from the sales page into your emails.
- Skipping the disclosure.
- No tracking IDs, so you can’t tell what worked.
- Sending paid traffic straight to a sales page. Send it to your opt-in page instead. Our solo ad results show why.
- Promoting several products at once to the same people.
- Counting clicks as sales. Only count the sales the network reports, minus refunds.
- Forgetting the tax form, which holds up your first payout.
FAQ
Is JVZoo better than ClickBank?
Neither is better for everyone. ClickBank gives you links to most products straight away; JVZoo usually needs vendor approval but shows each product’s Refund % up front. See the comparison table above.
Is JVZoo legit for affiliates?
JVZoo is an established marketplace with a written affiliate agreement, support articles for every step and several payout providers. Each product’s quality is up to its vendor, so screen offers using Refund % and the sales page checks above.
Is the JVZoo affiliate program free to join?
Yes. JVZoo says affiliate accounts are free with no monthly fee; its transaction fees are charged to vendors (JVZoo FAQ). It does list a one-time $5 KYC verification to unlock payouts (JVZoo for affiliates).
Why was my JVZoo affiliate request declined?
Vendors often decline new affiliates with no sales history or no clear promotion plan. Send a short, honest note about your list and how you’ll promote, or pick another product and keep building your list.
How do JVZoo affiliates get paid?
Through JVZooPay to a Payoneer, Trolley, Wise or Tipalti payout profile, with a $50 minimum withdrawal. Instant commissions are credited when the order completes and delayed ones within 70 days for sellers not using JVZooPay; with JVZooPay, withdrawals follow the schedule for your level.
What’s the difference between instant and delayed commissions?
An instant commission is credited when the customer completes the order; a delayed one comes later, within 70 days for sellers not using JVZooPay. Either way, with JVZooPay you withdraw on the schedule for your account level. The seller chooses which one you get when approving you.
How do I add a tracking ID to a JVZoo link?
Add ?tid= and your code to the end of the link, or &tid= if the link already has a ?. Codes can be up to 24 lowercase letters and numbers.
Can I promote JVZoo products without an email list?
You can link from blog posts, but email lets you follow up and explain a product properly. That’s why we suggest building a small list first.
